Woolfull Magazine Issue 2 - 23 June 2017 - Yarn Review - Stylecraft Special DK

Stylecraft Special DK is the staple of the Stylecraft range, and has formed a large part of our personal yarn stashes for some time.

It comes in a huge range of colours (84 to be exact) so whatever the project you're working on there's bound to be a colour available.

Rosie and I have both crocheted with Stylecraft Special DK for over a year, ranging from toy animals to huge blankets, and have loved it from the start.

It's fantastically versatile, and feels great whatever the project.

Check out a few things we have made with this yarn.

When we were talking about which yarns to stock in our store Stylecraft was top of the list. It's really nice to work with, feels really soft both when crocheting and when worked up, and doesn't split or 'squeak'. It's acrylic, so no issues with allergies, it washes really well, passed CE testing with flying colours and is exceptionally good value at just £1.95 for 100g. If you knit or crochet large projects such as blankets this makes Stylecraft Special DK a great choice.

We have the shades on pegs in our store  and Rosie and I spend what is probably too much time playing with the shades and making up blanket palettes.
