It's the end of March already (I know, right!?) and we've just passed 90 days of squares.
Spring may not quite be in the air yet, but with lighter mornings and spots of sun shining through, we can hope.
We're absolutely loving seeing some of you joining in on Facebook and Instagram, and starting to see some of you join your squares together.
Here's a little update on where we all are with our various projects:
- Debbie - I think I may have enough squares for my first project, and have started to join them together. I'm not going to spoil the surprise of what I'm making yet, but watch this space very soon for a reveal and a pattern!
As I've decided to do one project at a time, I now have just a few hours to decide what my next project is going to be. You'll find out later today if you follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
- Mand - *drumroll* My first blanket is finished! I loved making this one, it's the biggest of my squares to date, but it's so soft, warm and fluffy. The yarn is Rico Alpaca Blend Chunky, and the pattern is a collection of corner-to-corner squares, using two colours per square.
I would have another finished project to show you, but my attempts to seal squares in resin to make coasters was less than successful.
I found the resin made the yarn run, and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it to be completely free of bubbles. Here's my attempt for posterity, but I probably won't be doing any more of that any time soon.
My other blankets are progressing nicely, but as most of them require at least 50 squares it will be a while before any more are finished.
- Rosie - My blankets are going well so far, though I do sometimes question the wisdom of crocheting a blanket with 4ply yarn!
My first project won't be fully finished until May or June, so there's a little while to go, but hopefully there will be a flurry of finished things all at once.

It's safe to say we're all enjoying trying new stitches, new yarns, and looking for inspiration all around us for new squares, although some days it's surprisingly hard to find time to fit in a square a day (if you follow us on Facebook or Instagram you may notice some posts fairly close to midnight!).
