These hooks are specially designed to make crochet easier on the hands, meaning you can crochet more often and for longer periods of time! They're also the nicest looking crochet hooks we've ever seen. The handles are brightly coloured rubber and the hook is aluminium up to 6.5mm, and smooth, tough plastic for larger sizes.

    I was very disappointed with this has I assumed by the photos that this hook part would be metal, it not it’s plastic, and it was very expensive for what it was. I can not crochet with this I tried , it makes the yarn split and snag. I brought it for the handle I I have severe arthritis but love crochet, and this wasn’t comfortable. Woolfull: Hi Dotty, Clover crochet hooks are metal, until you reach size 6.5mm, then they’re plastic to keep them lightweight and in theory easy to use. This is stated on the website, but we can understand things get missed and shopping online can sometimes be difficult as often images look similar. We’ve never heard of problems with splitting or snagging, but the wrong kind of hook for you definitely makes a difference, that’s why we stock so many!
